Marquis Yachts Introduces New Line of Ultra Luxury Day Boats

I am excited to see the return of Marquis Yachts to the yachting industry! After a 2 year hiatus the brand returns with a completely new ultra luxury day boat concept. The 420 is the first of this new series, to debut at the Fort Lauderdale International boat show in November 2019. The 420 Marquis will be followed by 50 and 60 foot versions in the next couple years as well.

Looking to meet the and enhance the lifestyle of the new generation of luxury boaters, this fresh and innovative lineup is meant to embody the style of it’s owner with killer looks and the quality to back it up…beauty that is more than skin deep.

Marquis 420 Deck Layout

The Pulaski, Wisconsin based company made the strategic move to the burgeoning day boat market after it’s wild success with the VanDutch line…yes VanDutch yachts were built in Wisconsin…most people are pretty surprised by this fact. The owners of the VanDutch name contracted Marquis to build their boats for them for a number of years, recognizing the skill of the craftsmen at the factory and their ability to produce a product that could rival any other manufacturer in this range in Europe (over 80 VanDutches were produced by the Marquis Group).

Taking the experience they gained with VanDutch, Marquis decided to take the day boat concept to a new level with great improvements in design and functionality. The mantra here being that you can have both incredible style and also be comfortable and easy to use at the same time…no compromises!

Marquis 420 Deck Layout- Outboard Version

The new 420 Marquis will also have the option to be outboard powered, as seen in a drawing above. The standard power is twin 480hp inboard diesel engines. Joystick docking will be available with both the inboard and outboard versions.

The main deck will feature a hydraulic bathing platform, extra large sunpad, U-shaped lounge seating area, and a sizeable wet bar with sink, icemaker, refrigerator, grill and storage space. The hardtop is an upgrade that we envision being utilized quite a bit unless someone has a height restraint, in which a folding down bimini top would work.

Belowdecks the 420 Marquis will have a seating area with dinette table forward that will convert to a berth, full head with walk-in shower and a galley for food preparation.

One surprise here is to expect the pricing to be very reasonable for a 42 ft yacht, coming in quite a bit below the Marquis 420’s European competitors. This is due to the smart production processes that the Marquis Group has invested in over the last few years and their large production facility and resources.

You may have already heard this, but Marquis Group also partnered with Lexus to produce a whole new line of Lexus branded yachts that will also be manufactured in the same Pulaski, Wisconsin facility, starting with the L65 and to expand to other sizes in the future. The fact that Lexus chose the Marquis Group to build their new flagship line of yachts will tell you a thing or two about the company and what they are capable of producing!
